paper boxes are not
for shipping dead bodies

This is a short collection of vignettes that I've written over the course of 6 months or so, beginning the day after my mother passed away. I wrote some pieces on the plane ride to and from Guadalajara, the city she died from a heart attack.  I wrote some pieces late at night after 8 hours at work, barely able to think of anything except for her. I wrote some pieces among friends and some pieces alone and barely holding back tears. I wrote some pieces based on quick notes I took on my phone when flashes of memories came back to me.

I wrote, because I don't want her to be forgotten.

This collection is a way I've been working through my grief, and for that reason, I don't think this story will ever be finished, but this is what I've got. Hopefully, this blog will be a sort of sequel to what I've already written.
