DIGITAL MARKETING

for Porchlight Book Company

As the Digital Marketing Specialist on the three-person marketing team at Porchlight, I am in control of the company's social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) as well as much of the content that is published on the website. I was trusted with a lot of the re-imagining of our social media accounts after the company rebranded from 800-CEO-READ in August 2019, three months after I was hired.

 

Part of the company's rebrand was about expanding beyond its expertise in business books. I've brought my love for environmentalist, feminist, and Latinx literature through reviews I've written, and I've reached authors and audiences that Porchlight has yet to make an impact on.

Additionally, I have been a judge for Porchlight Book Company's Business Book Awards 2019-2020, for which I read the books submitted for the Innovation & Creativity category, ultimately picking five shortlisted books and one winner from those five. I created most of the content for this campaign from scratch.

I thoroughly enjoy creating imagery and writing, but what I enjoy most about this job are the subjects of my work: books and the great minds that brought them to the world.
